Image
Many experts are predicting a nice upswing in the housing market across the USA. Some real estate websites are predicting various markets could see as much as 20% home value appreciation and even more. Some of the top spots in the country are those who have faced the largest declines from the previous recession. Fannie Mae puts 2014 median home prices at about $283,000 while they look at 2015 being $298,000 and predict 2016 to go up even further up to $310,000. Forbes estimates real estate prices will rise around 5.5% through December (from a June 2015 article). "In the first part of 2014, prices were up between 10% and 13% year-over-year each month. But by the end of 2014 they had stabilized to an annual gain of 5.8%, NAR reports. What will happen this year depends who you ask: the experts we spoke with projected gains ranging from 3% to 8%."
